Teaching to Change Lives – Howard G. Hendricks.
What a great book, one of the best I have read in years.
One of the things Hendricks points out in his book on pg 43 is the following:
“The learners beginning Point, the basic level where everyone starts in unconscious incompetence, that is, your ignorant and you don’t know it”.
This a concept I have been aware of for years and is one that is virtually impossible to overcome.
While Hendricks cites Abraham Maslow as it’s point of origin it can also be found in one of the psalm’s, although I am not sure which one at the moment. But this is something I hope we discuss as when you have someone who is ignorant of something, (and we are all ignorant of something) that’s a teaching moment, when you find someone who is ignorant of what they are ignorant of, that’s an end of the line moment.
